Yousuf Saeed

Yousuf Saeed is an independent filmmaker, author and, archivist. He started his career in 1990 with science TV programs like ‘Turning Point’ (for Doordarshan) and various documentaries. He worked on various media like the print, electronic and online, at the Times of India, Encyclopedia Britannica and, other organizations. Currently, Yousuf produces more documentaries and writings on India’s shared arts and culture. His films like Basant, Yashpal: A Life in Science, Khayal Darpan, Campus Rising, and A Feast in Rampur have been shown at film festivals and academic venues all over the world. Yousuf travels lecturing and showing his films, besides giving training on media and cultural literacy. Yousuf also manages Tasveer Ghar, an online, archive of South Asia’s popular visual culture.
