A Community of people working to preserve Ahimsa within ourselves, our politics, our society and our Nation

The freedom that Mahatma Gandhi and so many others fought for was not just a struggle against the foreign oppressor but against oppression in all its forms. In the years since the British have left, generations of Indians have continued this struggle to bring every last Indian ‘Justice, Social, Economic and Political’ as dreamt of in the Constitution. Generations of Indians have chosen to view progress in terms of ability to ensure that we leave no one behind. Generations of Indians have chosen to forego their own interests and instead protect, nurture and empower the most vulnerable among us. In doing so we have built a Nation that is united, strong but most importantly humane.

It is the ancient Indian wisdom of Ahimsa that has allowed society to embrace a path based upon love, compassion and harmony. Ahimsa is the commitment to never allow our fear, greed, anger and ego to drown out the humanity within us. Ahimsa is the wisdom that civilizes the powerful and liberates the powerless. If India is to continue on its remarkable journey to liberation, it must keep the light of Ahimsa alive.

Ours is a community dedicated to preserving Ahimsa in our lives, our politics and our communities.
